Julie joined Simpkins Edwards as Director in our Heathfield office in September 2016, moving to Bovey Tracey in 2018; with her areas of expertise being in agricultural, rural, tourism business and landlords.
Given her business-based portfolio Julie is experienced in all aspects of family run businesses with most of her work involving both tax compliance and tax planning.
While she specialises in clients with an agricultural bias, she can offer practical advice on both business and tax issues in all aspects of family run businesses and has also carried out extensive tax planning work for income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
Julie lives in the heart of Torbay and has first-hand experience with public houses, the hotel industry and the armed forces having had family in these sectors for many years.
