| April 4th, 2024
.

Simpkins Edwards is pleased to announce that Paul Williamson is joining the Partnership, effective 1st April 2024, as Tax and Probate Partner.

Paul joined Simpkins Edwards in 2022 as a Tax Director, having previously worked at Top 25 firms based in Kent and North Devon. He qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2009 and as a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners in 2012. Paul provides Tax Advisory and Compliance Services to Private Clients, Trusts and Estates, as well as being an authorised individual to carry out non contentious probate services.

Reflecting on his new position, Paul says “Simpkins Edwards are committed to sharing knowledge amongst the team, and providing exceptional service to our clients, in what can be a complex and often changing field. I’m looking forward to joining the Partnership and shaping the direction of the firm in coming years, and to our continued success.”

The appointment of Paul as Partner continues to fortify our Tax Team, following the addition of Richard Tyler and David Shearer as Tax Partners in 2023. Chris Bowker continues to lead this team as Head of Tax.

Mark Simic, Managing Partner, extends his congratulations to Paul: “We are thrilled that Paul has joined the Partnership at Simpkins Edwards. He brings with him a deep understanding of both tax and probate services. Paul’s care and commitment to his work and his clients is celebrated and we’re looking forward to the positive impact he’ll have on enhancing the firms offerings and overall growth.”

Paul has a busy family life with four children, so spare time features plenty of sports, walking and camping in the summer months. Paul is also treasurer of the North Devon Deaf Children’s Society and helps organise events for deaf children and their families in and around the local area.
