Making Tax Digital (MTD) for income tax will be mandated from April 2023. It will apply to the self-employed – sole traders and partnerships – and to those who receive income from property, where gross income from these sources combined falls above the threshold of £10,000.
Although there is still some time until mandatory digital records for income tax, many businesses have already moved to digital record keeping and benefitted from the additional features and timesaving, offered by bookkeeping software.
